Getting started
What is Pixworthy?Public
Pixworthy collects every photo and video your guests take into one private album. Guests scan one QR code or open a link and upload in original quality. No app, no account.
During the party you can show the photos on a live wall. Afterwards you download everything in one go.
How do we set up our album?Public
It takes about two minutes. Your first event can be free, no credit card needed.
- 01Choose a plan and enter your event name and date.
- 02Open your album. Your guest link and QR code are ready.
- 03Share the QR code on the tables or send the link.
- 04After the party, download everything in original quality.
Can we print QR cards for our tables?Public
Yes. From your album you can download the QR code on its own, an A6 card, A5, A4 or A3 posters, a folding table tent or a square image for Instagram, in seven designs. Add an optional photo idea to give guests something to shoot.
Print at actual size. The QR code always keeps a clear white border and no logo covers it.
Can we show the photos on a TV or projector?Public
Yes. Open the live wall from your album, or switch on a public wall link for a venue computer. Only approved photos and videos that are not hidden appear. Videos play muted, for at most their first 18 seconds.
Anyone with the public wall link can watch, even if the guest page has a password or a private gallery.
For guests
How do guests add their photos?Public
Guests do not need an app or an account. They only need an album password if the host set one.
- 01Scan the QR code with the phone camera, or open the guest link.
- 02Choose photos or videos from the phone.
- 03Uploading starts right away. Keep the page open until it finishes.
Which files can guests upload, and how big?Public
Photos and videos, including common phone formats such as JPEG, HEIC, MP4 and MOV. Files that are not photos or videos are refused.
Free allows up to 100 MB per file and Wedding up to 2 GB. Plus and Planner allow up to 5 GB per file. Need bigger files? Ask us through Support. Free albums hold up to 50 photos and videos in total.
Can guests upload videos?Public
Yes, including 4K video. There is no limit on video length, but the file size limit of the plan still applies. Large files travel in small pieces, so a dropped connection does not start them over.
The live wall plays videos muted, for at most their first 18 seconds. The full videos are in your album and in your download.
Are photos and videos kept in original quality?Public
Yes. Pixworthy stores the exact files your guests' phones send. Nothing is resized, converted or compressed, and downloads contain those same files, byte for byte, with the metadata the phone included.
On iPhone, the photo picker sends a converted JPEG copy unless the guest taps Options at the top of the picker, then Current. Then the full HEIC original arrives, with its capture time, camera details and colour profile. Guests on iPhone see a one-time tip about this, and photos that arrived as HEIC show Full original in your album. iPhone browsers never send where a photo was taken. Other phones and browsers decide what they send; some leave out parts of the metadata.
iPhone HEIC photos get a preview so every browser can show them, while the download stays the original HEIC file.
What if the venue Wi-Fi is weak?Public
Keep the page open. Uploads pause without a connection and continue when it comes back, without sending saved parts twice. After a reload, choose the unfinished files again. Guests can also upload later, as long as the album still accepts uploads.
Can guests upload after the party?Public
Yes, while the event is still open for uploads. Guests open the same link or scan the QR code again. The date uploads close can differ from the date the album goes offline.
Which languages can guests use?Public
English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The host picks the starting language of the guest page, and guests can switch to their own language on the page.
Can guests leave a message?Public
Yes. Written guestbook messages work on every plan, including Free. On Wedding, Plus and Planner, guests can also record a short voice message (up to 60 seconds) or video message (up to 30 seconds).
Messages are private to the hosts unless they choose to show them on the live wall. Hosts can moderate messages and download the guestbook as a PDF.
Plans and prices
Which plans are there?Public
Every plan has unlimited guests, original-quality uploads, the live wall, a public wall link, written guestbook messages, an optional guest password and print-ready QR designs.
- 01Free: one event per email address, up to 50 photos and videos, 100 MB per file, online for 30 days.
- 02Wedding: one event, unlimited uploads, 2 GB per file, online for 365 days. Adds approval before guests see uploads, a shareable recap and voice and video messages.
- 03Plus: everything in Wedding, with 5 GB per file and 730 days online. Adds timed reveal, a shot limit per guest and welcome slides on the wall.
- 04Planner: a subscription for professionals. Unlimited weddings with everything in Plus, 365 days online each, your own branding and planner tools.
What does it cost?Public
Free costs nothing. Wedding is €79 and Plus is €129, paid once per event, including VAT. Planner is €39 per month plus €19 per wedding, excluding VAT.
Paid albums can stay online 12 months longer for €19 each time. Checkout always shows the amount before you pay.
Are there founding prices?Public
Yes. The first 50 paying couples get Wedding for €59 or Plus for €99, including VAT. The first 20 planners pay €25 per month plus €12 per wedding, excluding VAT, locked for 12 months. Checkout tells you whether a founding place is still available.
Can we upgrade later without a new QR code?Public
Yes. Upgrade Free to Wedding or Plus, or Wedding to Plus, from your existing album. Your uploads, guest link and QR code stay the same. Going from Wedding to Plus only costs the difference.
How long does our album stay online?Public
Counted from the event date: 30 days on Free, 365 days on Wedding and Planner, 730 days on Plus. We email you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before it closes.
After that the album closes for guests. For 30 more days you can still download everything or extend. Then the photos and videos are deleted for good. Paid albums can add 12 months for €19, as often as you like.
What do we see before we pay?Public
Next to the pay button the buy page shows where the files are stored, how long the chosen plan stays online and what happens after that, that originals stay untouched, that Stripe handles the payment, and how to reach us at [email protected]. The homepage and the planners page show a short version under the prices.
When an album closes you have 30 more days to download everything before the files are deleted for good. Pixworthy's company details, such as the KvK and VAT number, appear in the same place once they are available.
Who is Planner for?Public
Planner is for wedding planners, venues and photographers: businesses with a Dutch KvK number or an EU VAT number. You create as many weddings as you need, each with unlimited uploads, 5 GB per file and 365 days online.
Your logo, name and colour appear on guest pages and print cards. Planner tools add client handoff, branding presets, duplicating albums and a report per album.
How is Planner billed, and can we cancel?Public
Planner costs €39 per month plus €19 per wedding, excluding VAT. New contracts pay the first 3 months upfront (€117), then renew monthly. Wedding fees go on the next invoice.
Cancel in your account settings for the end of a paid period, never before the minimum ends. Albums you already made keep their own online dates. Wedding and Plus are one-off payments that never renew.
Privacy and data
Who can see our photos and videos?Public
The album owner and the people they invite. Pixworthy support sees nothing of the album unless the owner chooses "Let Pixworthy support look at this album" on the album page, for 7 days, and the owner can end that at any time. Only a single photo or video reported to us as illegal can be seen and hidden without that. Guests see what your gallery setting allows: other guests' uploads, only their own, or nothing.
Anyone you give the public wall link or recap link can see what those pages show, and so can everyone looking at the live wall screen.
Can we keep guests' uploads private?Public
Yes. Choose one of three gallery settings:
- 01Shared: guests see each other's uploads.
- 02Private: each guest only sees the uploads from their own phone or browser.
- 03Off: guests can upload but see no gallery.
Can we protect the guest page with a password?Public
Yes. Set an optional guest password of 4 to 64 characters. You can put it in the QR code, so anyone scanning that code gets in without typing. The copied guest link still asks for it.
A browser stays unlocked for 30 days. Changing or removing the password signs every guest out.
Where are the files stored?Public
Album files are kept outside the public part of the website. The cloud copy is a private Backblaze B2 bucket in the EU Central region (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). Photos only reach a browser through Pixworthy's access checks, never through a public bucket link. No ads, no data mining.
